Definition: 意味
delicious, tasty
- Primarily used to describe food or drinks that have a pleasant or good taste.
- As an い-adjective, it can directly modify a noun (e.g., 美味しいご飯 – delicious meal) or be used as a predicate (e.g., このケーキは美味しいです – This cake is delicious).
- Often accompanied by adverbs like とても (totemo – very) or 少し (sukoshi – a little) to express degree.
- Can be used in various tenses and forms: past tense (美味しかった – was delicious), negative (美味しくない – not delicious), past negative (美味しくなかった – was not delicious).
