Definition: 意味
to want; to desire (something)
- Expresses the speaker’s desire for a noun or object.
- Indicates a wish or longing for something to possess.
- Refers to the speaker’s desire, or someone else’s inferred desire.
- It is always used with the particle が (ga) to mark the desired item.
- Cannot be used to express a desire to do something (verb); for verbs, use the -たい form.
