Definition: 意味
to say, to be called (humble)
- A humble equivalent of 言う (iu) – “to say” or “to tell”.
- Used by the speaker to humbly refer to themselves or their actions in relation to others.
- Can also be used as a humble equivalent of 呼ばれる (yobareru) – “to be called” when referring to one’s name.
