Definition: 意味
Somehow or other; one way or another; after all is said and done; this and that
- なんだかんだ is a versatile Japanese expression.
- It conveys that despite various reasons, excuses, or circumstances,
- a particular outcome is reached or a certain state persists.
- It often implies a series of minor issues, discussions, or events
- that collectively lead to a result.
- Alternatively, it can simply refer to ‘this and that’
- without specific enumeration.
- It can also mean ‘after all,’
- indicating something is true or happens in the end,
- regardless of what was said or done previously.
