eagerly awaiting; looking forward to
- Describes a feeling of strong anticipation and longing for an event or situation that is expected to be pleasant or enjoyable.
- Often used when one is counting down the days or hours until something happens.
- Implies a slight sense of impatience because the desired event hasn’t arrived yet.
