dangerous; risky; in danger; narrow escape
- describes a situation or condition that is dangerous, risky,
- or on the verge of failure or disaster.
- Can also mean a ‘narrow escape’ or ‘nearly’ (doing something).
- Often implies a close call or a state of being in jeopardy.
